Who you are dealing with

Proof Studio. Contact richard@proofstudio.co.uk. We are a small British studio. We are not VAT registered, so the prices on the site are the prices you pay — no VAT is added. We do not have a company number to list here.

What you can order

Launch is £299 to build, then £39 a month. One long scrolling page, or up to three short ones. Everything a customer needs to find you and ring you.

Standard is £599 to build, then £39 a month. Five pages with space for a proper gallery, your services broken out, and the reviews that win you jobs.

You pick a look from the Harbour, Folio and High Street examples. You can pay when you order, or ask us to put your name on a template first and pay the same price when the preview looks right. We build from the photos and words you send. The live site is usually up in 7 to 14 days once we have those and you have paid.

A template preview is private — a watermarked look or a page on a Proof Studio address. It is not your live site, it is not handed over until you pay, and we keep a free preview up for about a week. Work that does not fit Launch or Standard is bespoke. Richard prices that after a brief. You see bespoke work before you pay. No unpaid site goes on a real customer domain.

How you pay

Card payments for Launch and Standard go through Stripe. Your card details are taken on Stripe’s pages, not on this website. The first month of hosting is free from the moment you pay — a 30-day trial on the £39 a month — then £39 a month. There is no long contract.

What the monthly covers

Hosting, pointing the domain, SSL, off-site backups, software and security updates, and up to 30 minutes of small edits a month (prices, hours, a new photo). Bigger changes are quoted first.

Cancelling the £39 a month

You can cancel the monthly hosting whenever you like. Email richard@proofstudio.co.uk and we will stop the next charge. We will keep the site online until the end of the period you have already paid for, then take it down unless you ask us to hand it over first. Cancelling does not refund the build fee you already paid.

What you own

The domain is yours and stays in your name. The words and photographs you supply stay yours. When you want to leave we hand over the site files and help you move them. We keep the right to reuse the design system (Harbour, Folio, High Street) for other customers — you are buying a finished site in that look, not exclusive ownership of the design itself.

What we need from you

Your logo if you have one, your photographs, and the words. If those do not arrive, the 7 to 14 day clock does not start. If you would rather we wrote the words, that is an extra, agreed before we start.

If something is wrong

Say so. Launch includes one round of changes; Standard includes two. After that, extra rounds are charged. We will fix faults in the work we delivered. We are not responsible for things outside the job we agreed — including search rankings, how many enquiries you get, or problems caused by a domain or email service we do not run.
